I have been looking into aspects of crochet work, to do with Caribbean decoration. More specifically that of first time emigres through the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s. Also the effect of this on first and following generations. In my case its brings a realm of sentimentally and nostalgia. Also it brought a strong sense of cultural ethnic unity and identity at that time.
